The exhibition demonstrates the spectrum of viewpoints and approaches in the field
of printed graphic and photographic art since the 60's. It consists of 120 pictorial series and individual works
by 21 different artists. The great variety of techniques and ways in which the artist goes about creating a picture
reflects the great interest shown by American and European artists in processing and trying out all manner of ways
of using already existing or newly created pictorial ideas. The exhibition is divided into three sections as regards
contents. It shows large graphic sequences by American painters and sculptors dating from the 60's and 70's alongside
groups of works by seven European artists and large-scale pictorial series dating from the nineties.
The exhibition, which has been taken over from the Kaiser Wilhelm Museum in Krefeld, is accompanied by a richly-illustrated
catalogue with a text by Gerhard Storck.
Series of lectures on the occasion of the exhibition.
In connection with the exhibition Artist's Proof, the CONTEMPORARIES e.V. are extending an invitation to a series
